Sports day
Thank you for joining us for sports day this year. The children were fantastic and enjoyed participating in the different events. Well done the red team, who were victorious.
Swimming
Next week is the start of our 2-week intensive swimming lessons. Monday 30 June to Friday 4 July are lessons for years 2, 3 and 4. Please ensure children come to school in PE kits each day, also send in their swimming costume and a towel.
If you have not already given permissions for your child to attend via Parentpay, please ensure you log on to Parentpay and provide consent before Monday 30 June 2025. Without consent your child may not be able to attend.
Par Carnival
We are considering joining the parade for Par Carnival on Saturday 19th July. To take part we need to know how many families would like to join us. Please email secretary@lanliveryprimary.co.uk asap to let us know if you could join us for the carnival.
Costumes for Shrek
As in previous years, we have purchased T-shirts for pupils for the base of their costumes. Children who are in year 5 and 6 are welcome to bring in items to add to the T-shirt to form the costume for their characters. For example - hats, ears, tails etc. we are looking for a selection of hats for costumes - straw hats, cowboy hats that we could use if anyone has anything at home that could work.
Performance Ticket Now on sale!
Tickets for the school performance are now on sale at either Treat Friday or school office. £2 per per adult (under 16s free)
Fowey River Transition
Next week, Year 6 pupils moving to Fowey River in September will be attending a transition day on Thursday 3 July 2025. Please can these Year 6 children come to Lanlivery school in PE kit and with a drinks bottle in the morning (usual time). Fowey River have arranged to collect the children from primary school and will return them to us by the end of the school day. They will also be providing all children on their transition day food at lunchtime so no need to book a school lunch with us or bring a packed lunch!
Well done
Over the last couple of weeks pupils across the school have been taking part in various assessments including the Year 1 phonics screening and year 4 multiplication check. All the pupils were fantastic and approached the task with confidence. Well done!
Sports club next week
Sports coach Andy is not in next Thursday afternoon, so won't be here for club. We will run a club, but it may not be sports.
Book returns
As we approach the end of the year, can you please start looking at home for any reading books that need to be returned to school ready for next year.
Uniform purchases
As we are getting closer to ending the school year and therefore parents are possibly looking at buying larger sized uniform for growing children! We thought we would remind you that you can now buy logo school uniform from either School Trends online Lanlivery Uniform and Little Foresters Pre-School Uniform or Wovina in Bodmin Lanlivery Uniform and Little Foresters Pre-School Uniform
