Safeguarding

Safeguarding and Internet Safety

Safeguarding Statement

The Safeguarding of children is core to all that we do at Lanlivery Academy. In educational settings such as ours, safeguarding is the process of providing a safe environment for children and young people to learn.

It is also about identifying those children and young people who are suffering or likely to suffer from harm and then taking appropriate actions in a multi agency approach. This should ensure that all pupils in our care are safe both in school and at home. By doing this we need to forge excellent links with other agencies.

We aim to prevent all unsuitable people working with children and young people in our school, through safer recruitment and other safeguarding practices.

We will always ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with the parents/ carers first unless we have reason to believe that this is not in the child’s best interests.

If you have a concern about a child please speak to Miss Howell

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Miss Howell

Our Deputy Safeguarding Lead is Mr Tucker

Our Designated Safeguarding Governor is Mrs Caitlin Dean

Internet Safety

At Lanlivery Primary School we take our E-Safety and wellbeing very seriously to ensure that our children fully understand how they can be safe whilst using the internet.
